We are a small but rapidly expanding Accounting Firm, based in Balwyn, that provides Taxation and Advisory Services (including Business Services, Bookkeeping and Self-Managed Superannuation) to small to medium businesses. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to join our team in a full-time position as Receptionist and Administrative Assistant.
The Role
As the first point of contact for our firm, we are looking for a friendly yet professional individual to greet clients on the phone and in-person, while also providing administrative support to our busy office.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Front office management including dealing with incoming phone calls, greeting and assisting clients in-person, and keeping the general reception area and boardroom tidy
Processing all incoming and outgoing mail, and arranging couriers if required
Contacting the ATO for various requirements including payment plans, remission of penalties and interest etc.
Assisting the Administration Manager and wider team with general administrative tasks including;
Setting up templates, working papers and others documents
Lodgments of Income Tax Returns, Activity Statements and other adhoc lodgments
Updating registers and lodgment listings
Packaging returns and financial documents for clients
General administration duties including scanning, photocopying, and assisting with admin overflow during busy periods
Data entry and maintenance of accurate client information
Maintain kitchen, stationery, and other office supplies
Free on-site parking, and an immediate start date available.
Our Ideal Applicant
Has a positive, can-do attitude towards work and life in general
Has 1-2+ years of administration experience
Highly organised and great attention to detail
Works well under pressure and with competing deadlines
Can work both autonomously and in a team environment
Possesses exceptional client service skills and phone manner
Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Intermediate Microsoft knowledge, particularly with Outlook, Word and Excel
Prior experience in an accounting firm is ideal, but not essential (Any experience with CAS360/BGL and/or Superfunds will be highly regarded)
