As we continue to expand, we’re looking for an experienced Accounts Officer with strong accounting knowledge and hands-on experience in Xero to join our high-performing finance team in Mildura.
WHAT WE OFFER
Permanent, 38 hours/week. We are primarily hiring for a full-time role, but part-time may be considered for exceptional applicants.

YOUR ROLE IN THE FINANCE TEAM
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be an integral part of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across our accounting processes. Your role will focus heavily on Xero-based workflows, account reconciliation, and end-to-end accounts payable and receivable functions.
Key Responsibilities include the following:
Accounts Payable
Accurately enter supplier bills into Prime
Manage approval workflows and follow up outstanding documentation
Schedule payments and batch transactions in Xero
Reconcile supplier statements
Accounts Receivable
Issue timely invoices in line with performance targets
Follow up overdue accounts professionally
Match incoming payments to remittances and reconcile in Xero
Additional Accounting Tasks
Reconcile inter-entity transactions across multiple business units
Prepare and process weekly payroll
Complete monthly credit card reconciliations
Submit and track credit applications
Maintain finance-related email inboxes
Communicate effectively with suppliers and clients
Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks and projects
ABOUT YOU
You are a detail-oriented accounting professional with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar finance role. You’re confident in your ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring the integrity of financial data, and you’re proactive about improving processes and driving efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated accounts and bookkeeping experience
Proficiency in Xero accounting software, or high proficiency in other similar accounting software with demonstrated teachability
Solid understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Effective time management with strong attention to detail
Problem-solving mindset with a drive for process improvement
Competence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Desirable Qualifications:
Certificate or further studies in Accounting or Finance (not essential but highly valued)
