About the role

As Team Leader, HR Business Partnering, you’ll work closely with the HR Manager and colleagues across the Workforce Services Directorate to ensure our HR services are practical, solutions-focused, and grounded in procedural fairness and respectful workplace practices. In this role, you will:

Lead, mentor and support a small team of HR Business Partners to deliver consistent, high-quality advice and service.

Partner with operational and support leaders to build their confidence and capability in managing people-related matters.

Provide expert advice on complex workplace issues including performance, conduct and change processes.

Help deliver and embed HR initiatives that improve the employee experience and support inclusive, values-led team environments.

Contribute to a collaborative, positive team culture within the HR and broader Workforce Services team.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will be a trusted and capable HR practitioner with a collaborative mindset and a strong customer service ethos. You will bring:

Extensive experience in HR business partnering, with strong expertise in employee relations including advising on performance management, employee misconduct and workplace investigations.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, guide and support other HR professionals to strengthen performance and deliver consistent, high-quality service.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing a variety of documents including correspondence, reports and investigation summaries.

Strong analytical and critical thinking capability, with the ability to apply sound judgement and develop practical HR solutions that align with policy and support employee wellbeing.

A high level of integrity, professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive or complex matters.

A strong focus on service excellence, with a commitment to delivering best-practice HR support that is timely, tailored and aligned to the needs of our people.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead with purpose, support a committed HR team, and make a meaningful impact in an organisation that provides essential emergency and non-emergency care to South Australians every day, If you’re a proactive, values-driven HR leader who thrives on building capability, solving complex people issues, and partnering with leaders to create strong, supportive teams—we’d love to hear from you.
