Position Title: HR Officer
Employment Type: Casual
Location: Payneham 5070, South Australia
Reports To: Operations Director
Aeon Disability Support Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Casual HR Officer to support our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of the SCHADS Award, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), and the dynamic staffing needs of the disability support sector. You will work closely with management to drive HR compliance, manage disputes, support recruitment, and ensure we maintain a motivated and aligned team.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure HR practices comply with SCHADS Award and WHS legislation.
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and contract management.
Manage employee relations including grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures.
Support workforce planning to meet service demand efficiently.
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with NDIS audit standards.
Liaise with internal departments to improve team performance, engagement, and retention.
Confidently use HRIS, rostering, and compliance software.
Key Selection Criteria:
Minimum 1–2 years HR experience, preferably within NDIS or health/community sectors.
Strong knowledge of SCHADS Award and WHS obligations.
Proven ability to resolve conflicts and support staff welfare.
Ability to manage multiple platforms and adapt to new systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated understanding of workforce supply and demand in service delivery environments.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Timely onboarding of new employees within 5 business days of offer acceptance.
Maintain 100% compliance with SCHADS Award and WHS documentation.
Respond to and resolve employee grievances within 3 business days.
Maintain accurate HR records with 100% audit readiness.
Support recruitment to meet 100% of staffing demand as per service rosters.
Deliver monthly HR activity reports to management.
