About the role

Augie's Place is a dog friendly, neurodiverse community based cafe, in a calm and inviting location surrounded by four green spaces is seeking a professional and skilled Weekend Brunch Cook and a Front of House Manager to join our vibrant team in our Brunswick, VIC 3056 location. This is a part-time role, offering the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

What you'll be doing - Brunch Cook

Prepare a variety of delicious brunch-focused dishes to our high standards

Ensure all food items are presented beautifully and in a timely manner

Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Barista skills are a plus

Happy to do teamwork tasks of cleaning and stepping up to clear tables and help others when required

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Breakfast/Brunch Cook or Short Order Cook (npt a chef)

Strong working knowledge of breakfast and brunch menu items and preparation, use of products to avoid wastage

Baking and pastry background is a plus

Excellent time management and organisational skills with positive attutude

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment or keep busy in quiet periods

A keen eye for presentation and an attention to detail

Good communication and teamwork skills, patience and respect of others

Food safety certification

Immediate start for the right person

What you'll be doing - Front of House Manager

Face of the cafe - must have excellent customer service

Barista experience of at least 2 years, ability to dial in, latte art, work efficiently under pressure.

Social media experience with promotion and reels daily

Assisting fellow staff members with training, service, adding sales, clearing tables quickly and efficiently, talking to guests, promoting upcoming events, moving and working when on shift.

Communication must be exemplary, with owners and kitchen staff, must be fluent in english and able to take positive critique and correct any issues that may arise.

Ability to multitask and delegate

Be creative and make use of time during quiet periods

Must have RSA and food safety certificate
