Longboard Bar & Grill is one of Townsville’s busiest and most iconic dining spots, proudly located on the waterfront along The Strand. Our long-standing, experienced kitchen team takes pride in preparing the majority of our menu items in-house — from scratch. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Qualified Chef to join our crew. The role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. About the Role:

We’re on the lookout for a skilled, committed Qualified Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen. This is a physically and mentally demanding role that rewards hard work with flexibility, growth opportunities, and the chance to work with one of the most experienced teams in town.

What You’ll Do:

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with our in-house standards

Contribute to the preparation of a varied and fresh menu, made predominantly from scratch

Work effectively as part of a team during busy service periods

Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with food safety standards

Assist with stock rotation and general kitchen duties as required

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Chef with relevant trade certification

Post-apprenticeship experience required (minimum 1 year preferred)

Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen with professionalism and consistency

Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-focused attitude

Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends

At least one contactable reference

Passion for fresh food, in-house preparation, and high-volume service
