What’s On Offer
A rare and rewarding opportunity exists for an outstanding individual to join our City Operations Parks team at the City of Kwinana. This is a full-time position reporting to the Coordinator Parks and Natural Areas and working alongside a dynamic team of dedicated staff.

As our newest team member, you will provide leadership, supervision and guidance the Parks team and external contractors to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the operation. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the Parks program and allocated capital works, ensuring that works are delivered within budget, timeframes and in compliance with City standards.

What You’ll Need
To make an impact in this role, the successful candidate will have:

Qualification in Horticulture or Turf Management, or extensive relevant experience

Extensive experience in supervising operational maintenance requirements of horticultural management in public open space.

Experience in conducting projects and work programs.

Experience inducting staff in the safe operation of plant and the maintenance of parks machinery.

Experience in supervising staff and contractors exercising initiative and judgement.

Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and Risk management.

Well developed computer literacy skills, ie; Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

High level interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills, and customer service skills.
