Currently, we are seeking an experienced Horticulturalist to join the team responsible for creating and maintaining the exceptional horticultural displays at our customer sites. In this fulltime, permanent role, the successful applicant provides day to day direction to a small team of Gardeners and contract personnel.

Our Lead Horticulturist will:

Maintain, regenerate, and develop grounds, gardens and associated irrigation systems in accordance with relevant policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Coordinate and/or undertake the planting and maintenance of trees, garden beds, annual beds and turfed areas using appropriate tools, applying horticultural chemicals, machinery, and techniques to relevant design plans, established work practices and horticultural standards.

Supervise and perform manual work in all areas of landscape and turf maintenance including general gardening, trimming, hedging, large and small area turf maintenance and maintaining horticultural machinery and equipment.

coordinate and construct the installation of approved landscape projects and other grounds and gardens improvements to enhance the customers environment.

As the ideal candidate you will have:

Certificate III in Horticulture or higher qualification gained through structured training and demonstrated horticulture experience.

Demonstrated experience with annual display beds, trees, garden bed planting and maintenance.

Experience in monitoring and developing the ongoing high standards of our customers landscapes.

Chemcert, or equivalent certification for the storage and use of horticultural pest control chemicals.

Experience in the use and maintenance of wide range of plant and equipment specific to the industry.

Experience in providing day to day direction to horticultural staff, and demonstrated an ability to assist with training and development, and performance monitoring.

Valid driver's license with the ability to transport between customers sites.

The ability to manage a small team as well as participate in the work activities on a regular basis.
