We know great talent brings value. For the right mix of skills and experience, we’re open to negotiating within the top end of the band with total packages reaching ~$122K.

Turn business problems into digital solutions that matter.

You know how to make systems work harder, smarter, and faster. You’ve seen how great solutions don’t just improve data entry or reporting they transform service delivery. If you're a Business Analyst who thrives in that space where systems, people, and process meet this role will feel like home.

We’re growing fast and so is the complexity of what we do. At the City of Armadale, we’re investing in smarter digital platforms and rethinking how our business systems support frontline teams and our 100,000+ residents. And we need someone like you to help us deliver that change.

Why this role?

You’ll be our go-to expert for business systems across the City making sure they’re working today and evolving for tomorrow. Whether it’s configuring smarter workflows, managing system upgrades, or translating business requirements into technical action, you’ll help us create a digital environment that works for everyone.

You’ll work closely with our Digital Platforms Lead and across teams including finance, planning, engineering, customer service, and community so every project has a real-world impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting day-to-day system operations and troubleshooting issues
  • Using SQL and scripting tools to extract data, write reports, and support workflows
  • Scoping and managing system updates, refreshes, and new functionality rollouts
  • Collaborating with users to understand pain points and translate them into solutions
  • Training teams and reducing support volume through smarter self-service tools
  • Contributing to City-wide digital transformation (including ERP systems like TechOne)

About you:

You love bridging the gap between people and systems and you bring:

  • A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience supporting and improving enterprise systems (local gov, health, or commercial sector welcome)
  • Tech skills across SQL, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript or HTML (not all, but enough to get hands-on)
  • Strong understanding of business process optimisation
  • An ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders and bring them on the journey

Why join us?

We’re a workplace that actually walks the talk on flexibility, learning, and wellbeing. You’ll be backed by a leadership team that cares, given the tools you need, and encouraged to try new things — all while working on projects that help shape a better city.

What’s on offer:

  • 9-day fortnight or 19-day month options
  • Hybrid work arrangements + WFH support
  • Free membership to Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre (gym, pool, sauna, classes)
  • Up to 15% super (with matching)
  • Study assistance + novated leasing
  • 17.5% annual leave loading
  • EAP + annual wellbeing calendar
