You are a passionate educator and researcher with a PhD in HASS Education, committed to excellence in teaching and scholarship within the primary and/or middle years of schooling. With demonstrated expertise in developing engaging course materials and applying innovative, digital pedagogies, you bring a strong record of academic leadership, collaboration, and student-focused curriculum design. Your research program reflects a growing publication portfolio and success in securing funding, underpinned by a creative, enterprising approach to inquiry. Known for your integrity, clear communication, and interpersonal strengths, you foster inclusive teamwork and actively contribute to building future-focused educational experiences that respond to real-world needs.
About the role
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead teaching, research, and engagement in HASS Education for the primary and/or middle years. You’ll design and deliver innovative courses across on-campus and online platforms, support students academically, and contribute to course coordination and development. The position involves building a research portfolio through collaborative projects, securing funding, and supervising research students. You’ll also foster strong industry and community connections, ensuring course content remains relevant and impactful, while contributing to broader academic initiatives and teamwork.

To be successful you will need
- PhD and associated experience in research and teaching in a discipline area relevant to HASS Education in the primary and/or middle years of schooling
- Ability to undertake a range of teaching duties
- Commitment to establishing a program of research that demonstrates growing publication record, and experience in the preparation of research grant applications
- Demonstrated ability in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies
- High standard of interpersonal ability, written and oral communication skills
