About you
You are an accomplished and committed educator with a PhD in Science or Mathematics Education, bringing expertise in teaching and research across the primary and middle years of schooling. With a passion for curriculum innovation and student engagement, you design and deliver high-quality, digitally enriched learning experiences that reflect contemporary theory and practice. You foster strong collaborative relationships, communicate with clarity and impact, and actively contribute to team and institutional goals. Recognised for your strategic thinking and growing research profile, you seek opportunities to develop, lead and evolve teaching programs that equip graduates with the knowledge and confidence to succeed.
About the role
Reporting to the Professorial Lead, you will design and deliver innovative curriculum that reflects contemporary pedagogical practice across campus and online modes. You’ll contribute to course development and coordination, applying your research expertise to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. The role involves developing a strong program of research, attracting funding, and building links with external partners to ensure real-world relevance. You’ll collaborate across academic teams, mentor colleagues, and take on key planning and administrative responsibilities to support quality teaching, interdisciplinary engagement, and the academic unit’s strategic priorities.

To be successful you will need
- PhD qualification in Science and/or Mathematics Education in the primary and/or middle years of schooling, together with associated experience in research and teaching in a relevant discipline area
- Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of teaching duties
- Demonstrated commitment to establishing a program of research that demonstrates growing publication record, and experience in the preparation of research grant applications
- Demonstrated ability in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies
- Demonstrated high standard of written and oral communication skills
