Our client, a global leader in the chemical and coatings sector, is seeking a proactive and detail-driven HR Generalist to take full ownership of the HR function for their Australia site. Reporting directly to the HR VP based in China, you'll manage end-to-end HR and payroll operations, support local leadership, and contribute to regional and global HR initiatives.

This is a dynamic, all-encompassing role ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic involvement and operational delivery across the full HR lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all end-to-end HR generalist functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and training.
• Act as the go-to HR contact on-site, partnering with local managers and supporting the Asia Pacific HR Director on key projects.
• Process and manage Australian payroll in partnership with a third-party provider (Employment Hero).
• Maintain and administer employee records, employment contracts, HRIS systems, and compliance reports.
• Lead and coordinate performance reviews, annual salary increases, and bonus programs.
• Support employee relations, EBA negotiations, EHSQ collaboration, and the implementation of global/regional HR projects.

Your Profile

• Experienced HR Generalist, confident working independently in a standalone capacity
• 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Employment Law, National Employment Standards, and Modern Awards.
• End-to-end payroll processing experience using Employment Hero.
• Highly organised and resourceful - able to work independently and liaise confidently with stakeholders across multiple time zones.
• Experience with HRIS platforms and tools (Employment Hero or similar), and a continuous improvement mindset.
