About the role

Join a dynamic team delivering one of Perth’s major infrastructure projects as a Project Cost Controller. In this critical role, you’ll support the delivery and commissioning of urban rail expansion projects by working closely with the Project Finance Manager within an Alliance environment. You will oversee key financial functions including the review and endorsement of invoices, account reconciliation, cost forecasting, expenditure analysis, and financial reporting. Your work will directly influence the project’s financial performance and ensure alignment with contractual obligations.

Beyond core financial management, you’ll contribute to broader project controls, including procurement, contract management, schedule tracking, and risk analysis. From managing payment instructions and assessing cost eligibility to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting contract evaluations, your expertise will help drive effective decision-making and project success. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes on major infrastructure initiatives.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, accounting, or construction management, with eligibility for membership in a recognised accounting or quantity surveying professional body.

Sound technical expertise in project controls and financial management, including cost, procurement, contract, schedule, risk and change control, supported by relevant project and/or contract management experience.

Proven experience in project delivery within a construction or infrastructure environment, with a strong understanding of financial, accounting, and cost control principles in both project and business contexts.

Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team, build effective relationships, resolve conflicts, and provide insights that support strategic financial decision-making.
