As our team and operations continue to grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Senior Accounts Administrator to oversee the day-to-day financial operations and support our leadership team with accurate, timely and insightful financial information.
This is a key position within our finance team, providing vital financial oversight and reporting to ensure we remain agile, compliant, and well-positioned for continued growth. You'll work closely with our CFO and external accountant and have touchpoints across the business to support financial planning, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
End-to-end management of supplier and client accounts
Processing invoices, issuing statements, and reconciling payments
Monitoring outstanding receivables and following up as needed
Payroll Administration
Oversee fortnightly payroll processing in compliance with award and legislative requirements
Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records
Administer leave, superannuation, and entitlements
Payroll tax reporting and payment
Banking & Reconciliations
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
Ensure accuracy of financial entries and cash flow tracking
Manage credit card reconciliations
Cash Flow & Financial Reporting
Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts
Support internal reporting on financial performance, budgets, and forecasts
Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting for leadership and external stakeholders
ATO Compliance & Lodgements
Coordinate BAS, IAS, and PAYG reporting and lodgements
Assist with fringe benefits tax (FBT), superannuation, and other statutory obligations
Ensure accurate record keeping for audits and compliance
Financial Support for External Advisors
Liaise with our external accountant and CFO to provide financial records, reports, and reconciliations as required
Assist in the preparation of documentation for annual tax returns and financial audits
Expense Management & Cost Control
Monitor expenditure across teams and cost centres
Reconcile corporate card (WEEL) transactions, ensuring receipts and job codes are correctly allocated
Identify and flag areas for cost efficiency and process improvements
Maintain consistent tracking of consultant expenses and reimbursements
Additional Functions
Collate supporting data for R&D claims
About You
You are an experienced finance professional with a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and a hands-on, practical approach. You’re confident working autonomously, while also valuing collaboration and communication across the business. You’re reliable, organised and calm under pressure — with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
You’ll bring:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounts administration or a similar finance role
Certificate IV Accounting & Bookkeeping (preferred)
Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar)
Confidence with Excel and other reporting tools
Understanding of payroll compliance and ATO reporting requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in a professional services or project-based business (preferred)
