Position Description: Technical Specialist

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality field service support for our Mineral Processing Equipment. As a key player in our technical services team, you’ll coordinate hands-on maintenance, manage customer interactions, and collaborate with sales to ensure exceptional support across machines, spares, and wear parts. The Technical Specialist contributes to the overall success of the business by delivering timely, reliable, and organized customer service support.

Key Responsibilities

Service Support

· Perform field service work on AABRA’s Mineral Processing Equipment at customer sites

· Act as technical liaison between customers, product teams, and sales

· Diagnose and evaluate equipment and component failures

· Supervise onsite projects and ensure procedural compliance

· Conduct machine inspections aligned with customer and global standards

· Escalate complex technical matters to Engineering and Technical Support teams

· Document site visit reports, time sheets, and expenses promptly

· Support warranty investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities

· Promote AABRA’s products, services, and technical value-adds

· Assist Technical Support Teams in elevating service outcomes

· Identify equipment in the field and initiate CRM data entry.

Required Skills & Experience

· Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Trade or Degree

· Expertise in mineral processing equipment such as:

o Screen Bowl Centrifuges

o Basket Type Centrifuges

o Vibrating Screens & Feeders

· Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities

· Proficiency in vibration analysis tools and interpreting related data

· Solid skills in MS Word and Excel

· Valid driver’s license

· Physically fit and able to pass medical and drug screenings

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

· Willingness to travel

· Strong understanding of risk management and safety compliance

· OEM training provided on all AABRA Mineral Processing Equipment
