Chef - Full Time

Location: Vermont, VIC
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum + superannuation

Vermont Aged Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced chef to join our aged care facility on a full-time basis. Remuneration on offer is $70,000 - $80,000 per annum plus super.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents. A passion for creating wholesome meals in a caring environment is essential. A minimum of 2 years’ full-time experience in a similar role is required. Previous experience in aged care or a similar setting is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning, ordering and preparing meals in a way that will enhance the resident’s dining experience, in line with all specialised diets, including supplements and texture-modified foods

Ensure a high level of compliance with all food safety guidelines and HACCP procedures

Prepare baked goods and desserts with attention to quality and presentation

Collaborate with care staff to support residents’ nutritional needs

About You:

Have previous experience in the industry or in a similar role (minimum 2 years full-time)

Have relevant qualifications or skills

Be self-motivated, creative, confident and enthusiastic

Be a team player
