A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced chef to join the Spanish team at El Rincón
El Rincón is an authentic Spanish Tapas Venue located in the heart of the Queen Victoria
Market, Melbourne CBD. We are open 6 days a week, catering for breakfast, lunch, dinner and
everything in between! We have a large range of premium Australian and Spanish wines &
create traditional Spanish meals and tapas that will take you to the streets of Southern Spain.
The duties include:
Manage food costs
Innovate the menu periodically
Direct and prepare dishes and tapas
Ensure food quality during handling, storing, cooking and presenting
Training kitchen staff
Provide food alternatives to clients with dietary requirements
Requirements:
At least 4 years’ experience in Spanish / Mediterranean food
Competence in Spanish language at advanced level
Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery (or equivalent)
Experience designing and implementing new dishes
Able to work under pressure in fast paced environments
