About the role

Healesville Hotel is seeking an experienced, passionate Chef to join their talented culinary team. This full-time role is located in the beautiful town of Healesville, Victoria, just an hour's drive from Melbourne. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a high-quality menu

Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop and refine the menu

Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient work environment

Ensuring all health, safety and food hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to

Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies

Providing guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff

Contributing to a positive and productive team culture

What we're looking for

Significant experience as a Chef in a similar high-quality restaurant or hotel environment

Formal culinary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Strong technical cooking skills and a keen eye for presentation

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

A collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to work well under pressure

Passion for using locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients

Current Food Safety Supervisor certification
