Position Purpose
In this role, you will support the financial operations of Ozone Hospitality Services by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across revenue and reporting processes. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to manage reconciliations and support financial reporting and audits. Your work will help ensure the financial data is accurate, timely, and aligned with best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including assist AR & AP team for accounts payable/receivable if required, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements under Australian accounting standards.
Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and processes to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support cross-functional initiatives.
Review daily P&L to ensure the accuracy of the data
Prepare fortnightly P&L
Perform month end, quarter end and year end tasks
Provide analysis on pricing and site budget
Assist with preparation of R&D claim
Support the Accounting team in ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
Understand general payroll process and review fortnightly payroll and assist on payroll related tasks if required
Provide finance admin support to the broader team as required
The Ideal Candidate
You’re a reliable and analytical professional with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. You enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and improving processes. You’re comfortable navigating financial systems and collaborating across teams to ensure smooth operations. You bring:
Working knowledge of financial accounting along with sound experience in accounts receivable
Strong reconciliation and data verification skills
Familiarity with accounting systems and financial reporting tools
Ability to manage multiple entities and maintain data integrity
A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or similar
CPA/CA qualified or working towards (preferred but no essential)
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Team player with positive attitude
Experience
Relevant experience in similar role within hospitality industry considered ideal.
Minimum 3+ years relevant accounting experience
Experience processing end-to-end payroll, including award interpretation, leave entitlements, and terminations
Previous experience working in high-volume, multi-site environments (e.g. cleaning, hospitality, labour hire) is highly regarded
