About the role
This Assistant Accountant role sits within a very collaborative finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance & working alongside the Senior Accountant, you’ll be supported and get end to end exposure. Ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented candidate!

Duties/Key responsibilities

• Assist with AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Support financial reporting, audit, and compliance activities
• Contribute to finance process improvement initiatives
• Gain exposure to systems upgrades and M&A integration
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting when needed

Skills and experience

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA/CPA qualified or studying
• 1–3 years in public practice or commercial accounting
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., MYOB, Employment Hero)
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Strong communication and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
• Willingness to learn with a can-do attitude!
