Lead support that changes lives.
At Magenta, we keep our people at the heart of all we do — that includes the people we support and the people who make it possible.
We're seeking a compassionate and highly capable Support Specialist to join our team and lead the coordination and quality of day-to-day supports for NDIS participants with low to moderate support needs.
This is an ideal role for someone who blends operational leadership with deep care for person-centred practice, quality documentation, and NDIS compliance.
About the Role
As a Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring services are delivered in line with participant goals, support plans, and NDIS Practice Standards. You’ll work across care planning, risk management, staff supervision, and incident response — always keeping participant safety, rights, and quality at the centre.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering proactive case management and care coordination.
- Overseeing quality documentation and compliance, including restrictive practice reporting.
- Leading internal responses to high-risk incidents and investigations.
- Monitoring participant progress, risk, and support needs.
- Coaching and supervising frontline staff providing day-to-day support.
- Liaising with families, guardians, clinicians, and NDIS stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding leadership role within a values-driven organisation.
You’ll Bring
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role supporting people with complex needs, disability, or mental health challenges
- Demonstrated leadership and staff supervision experience in the disability or community services sector
- Proven ability to problem-solve, assess risk, and remain calm and adaptive in high-pressure or crisis situations
- Comprehensive knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards, incident management, and restrictive practice obligations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including professional report writing and stakeholder engagement
- Strong skills in care planning, documentation, and compliance systems
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid Working with Children Check (NSW)
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination
- National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle (comprehensive car insurance required)
Desirable
- Cert IV or Diploma in Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
- Experience conducting internal investigations or quality audits.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a disability support setting.
Why Magenta?
- A people-first, values-led workplace where your work makes a visible impact.
- Professional growth pathways and ongoing training opportunities.
- A supportive, collaborative team who share your passion for quality care.
- Opportunity to lead in an organisation that values clarity, safety, and compassion.
Apply now and help us deliver the kind of support we’d want for our own loved ones.
