• 10 months contract
• Location - Parramatta - hybrid working
• $900-$1050 per day + SA

The ESRI Geodatabase Designer and Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in uplifting spatial data management and analytics capability across the directorate. The engineer will be responsible for designing, linking, and maintaining robust data pipelines between the directorate and a variety of internal and external data sources. These include Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases, SharePoint-hosted datasets, and externally operated ArcGIS Portals.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for integrating spatial and aspatial data from a range of internal and external systems (including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ArcGIS Portals, and SharePoint) into the authoritative spatial geodatabase.
• Develop and maintain geodatabase schemas, versioned editing workflows and automation scripts
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand regulatory and operational requirements and translate them into effective geospatial data models and workflows.
• Create automated ETL workflows using tools such as Python (e.g. ArcPy, Pandas), FME or ArcGIS ModelBuilder
• Monitor and improve data integrity, accuracy, performance and accessibility
• Produce technical documentation, contribute to training materials and provide operational support to internal teams

Essential Criteria:

• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ArcGIS Portals and SharePoint
• Experience developing and maintaining geodatabase schemas, workflows, and automation scripts
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Experience creating automated ETL workflows using tools such as Python (e.g. ArcPy, Pandas), FME or ArcGIS ModelBuilder
