Our client, requires an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the modernisation of financial intelligence systems across the Pacific, working with open-source tools and cross-cultural teams in a high-impact national security environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 10+ years’ experience leading the delivery of production-grade software;
• Advanced skills in general-purpose languages such as Java, Python or JavaScript;
• Production experience in designing and implementing data ingestion and integration systems based on free-tier open-source Apache NiFi;
• Production experience designing and implementing data analysis tools based on free-tier open-source Elasticsearch & Kibana;
• Graduate degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience;
• Experience leading technical work remotely and on-site with local teams overseas or in non-metropolitan Australian locations.
