Your new role

This is a high-impact, project-based role that sits at the intersection of governance, risk, and strategic planning. As the Governance, Risk & Strategic Projects Officer, you'll be a key contributor to the redevelopment of the organisation's enterprise-wide risk framework-helping shape appetite statements, build out risk registers, and liaise with academic and corporate units to embed best-practice protocols.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to define and document risk processes, support compliance with regulatory bodies such as TEQSA, and contribute to governance initiatives that span policy development, strategic planning, and operational improvement.

This role offers variety and challenge: one day you might be scoping risk documentation for academic programs, the next you could be helping set up governance structures for a new initiative. You'll be part of a team that's juggling priorities, navigating ambiguity, and driving long-term change-all while maintaining a high standard of delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in risk, compliance, governance, or strategic project support.
  
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.
  
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  
• A flexible, proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities.
  
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments and willingness to contribute across multiple governance streams.
