Based in central Sydney, the organisation offers a collaborative, people-focused environment with a strong emphasis on governance, transparency, and stakeholder engagement. You'll be joining a small, dynamic team within the Office of the CEO, where your work will directly support strategic operations and executive oversight.
Your new role
As the APS6 Records Management & Reporting Officer, you'll lead two strategic initiatives that are central to the agency's compliance and governance operations. This is a project-focused role with autonomy, visibility, and impact.
You will:

- Develop and revise internal recordkeeping policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organisation
- Provide formal reporting and submissions to the National Archives as required
- Evaluate the agency's internal Activity Tracking and Reporting Tool, used to monitor workstreams and support executive decision-making
- Recommend and implement improvements to the Tool, including ongoing support and maintenance
- Scope and manage your own project plan, identifying key deliverables and driving them to completion
- Consult with internal stakeholders across departments and externally with the National Archives to gather insights and ensure alignment
- Work within a small, collaborative corporate governance team that values initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience in records management, ideally within a government
- Familiarity with Content Manager (TRIM) or similar EDRMS platforms
- Excellent writing and documentation skills for policy development, briefs, and formal submissions
- Ability to manage projects independently and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision
- Understanding of relevant legislation such as the Archives Act, Privacy Act 1988, PGPA Act, and related frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
- A proactive mindset and ability to thrive in a dynamic, talkative, and collaborative environment
What you'll get in return
- A meaningful role in a nationally significant agency
- A supportive, inclusive, and engaged team culture
- Hybrid working arrangements after onboarding
- Exposure to high-level governance and executive functions
- Opportunity to lead a project with real impact on compliance and operational efficiency
