The role:
Are you a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? Join a high-performing team in a leading financial services organisation and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely and compliant payroll.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential to extend. The team is supportive, agile, and values continuous improvement – ideal for someone who enjoys making a real impact while keeping things running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
End-to-end payroll processing on a fortnightly basis for 1,000+ employees
Interpret awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation
Manage payroll adjustments, leave reconciliations, terminations and bonuses
Deliver accurate and timely payments, reporting, and compliance
Respond to employee queries via ServiceNow, ensuring high customer service
Support payroll-related process improvements and documentation
Contribute to payroll risk mitigation, controls, and compliance activities
Assist in system updates and award/agreement implementations
The ideal candidate:
5+ years’ experience in payroll, ideally in a 1,000+ employee environment
Strong technical knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation and taxation
Previous experience using different payroll systems (Dayforce experience a bonus but not essential)
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Comfortable working in a structured, high-volume payroll setting
Team player with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Bonus if you’ve worked across a system upgrade or implementation
