Position Title: Regional Sales Manager – Asia Pacific
Location: Flexible/Remote (Asia-Pacific Region)
Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 + Super + Company Car + Bonuses
About the Role:A leading global manufacturer of mechanical power transmission components is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to oversee business development and sales efforts across the Asia-Pacific region. This position plays a critical role in expanding the organisation’s footprint across multiple verticals, including industrial, mining, construction, marine, and energy. The company’s comprehensive portfolio includes industrial clutches, brakes, winches, torque converters, and other engineered transmission solutions. Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing distributors and OEMs, and implementing strategies to increase market share and meet revenue targets across the region.
Territory Coverage:Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and other emerging Asia-Pacific markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan tailored to the Asia-Pacific region with defined objectives, KPIs, and growth targets.
- Drive sales across the product portfolio, including clutches, brakes, winches, power take-offs, and other industrial power transmission solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and actively manage a robust pipeline of OEMs, distributors, and end-users across target industries.
- Maintain and deepen relationships with key accounts by understanding customer applications, offering tailored solutions, and providing after-sales support.
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual sales visits to customer and distributor locations across the region to build rapport, present products, and deliver product training as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering and customer service teams to provide accurate quotes, configure product specifications, and ensure seamless order processing.
- Close sales, track revenue performance, and report regularly on regional activity, forecasts, project status, and growth progress.
- Identify geographic and market coverage gaps, recruit and onboard new channel partners, and provide support through the sales enablement process.
- Represent the business at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote brand visibility and secure new opportunities.
- Deliver customer feedback and regional insights to internal teams to support product development, innovation, and business strategy.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales or business development within the mechanical power transmission, industrial equipment, or related engineering field.
- Proven success in managing sales growth across a complex multi-country region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Strong understanding of industrial applications, with hands-on experience selling clutches, brakes, PTOs, or mechanical power transmission systems.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and commercial stakeholders alike.
- Comfortable managing multiple sales projects, travel schedules, and reporting deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally across the Asia-Pacific region up to 50–60% of the time, or as required.
- Experience with CRM tools, pipeline tracking, and sales reporting.
