About the role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, we are seeking an experienced State Sales Manager to lead and inspire a dynamic sales team maximizing profitability of the state. Planning and delivering outcomes to align with the company vision.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

Manage, coach and develop a high-performing sales team to exceed sales targets and key performance indicators

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share in Queensland

Analyse sales data and market trends to identify new business opportunities and optimise the sales approach

Performance management reviews for team members in line with company policy.

Guide team members to align with company vision and values

Identification and recruitment of new team members as required

Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to contribute to the overall sales strategy for the business

Create a positive winning culture

Maintain a supportive, interactive and respectful relationship with all suppliers

Promote and execute joint calls, training and other customer events

Ensure sales, margins and expenses forecasts are met or exceeded

Review and control expenses in line with budget forecasts including compliance with company policies

Qualifications and Experience

Electrical trade preferable

4 + years experience in a senior sales management role, within the electrical distribution industry

Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing sales teams to exceed targets

Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions

Strong business acumen and commercial awareness to make data-driven decisions

Exceptional communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

High level of honesty, trust and respect

Highly organised

Strong planner
