About the Role
Reporting into the CFO, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 500+ employees nationally
- Develop, mentor and lead 1 x staff member
- Accurately interpret and apply various EBAs, ensuring compliance and precision
- Completion of PAYG, Payroll Tax, WorkCover and Superannuation payments
- Reconciliations, reporting and preparation of required payroll journals
- Senior stakeholder engagement with staff
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiencies
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Proven prior experience in full function Payroll processing having led a team
- The knowledge & expertise to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Effective time management & organisational skills with strong attention detail
- Forward thinking, analytical and process improvement focused
- First class communication skills both written and verbal
- Keen desire to lead, mentor and develop staff to positively enhance skills and performance
