As Legal Counsel, you will deliver timely, practical legal advice across a diverse portfolio of construction and commercial projects. This opportunity offers:

Responsibilities

Provide commercially focused legal advice across construction, commercial, and business-as-usual matters.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of construction and commercial agreements.

Advise on project delivery, contract disputes, and commercial risk.

Support and educate project teams on contracts and risk management.

Manage relationships with external counsel and stakeholders.

Deliver legal training, coaching, and induction for new team members.

Review and enhance current systems, processes, and risk frameworks.

Proactively identify and manage legal and regulatory risk across projects.

Requirements

Law degree and an Australian Practising Certificate (or eligibility).

4–6 years’ PQE with experience in construction law (front or back end), ideally gained in-house or in private practice.

Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ability to simplify complex legal issues and deliver practical, commercially minded advice.

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.

Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
