SUMMARY
Excellent opportunity for a 6+ years of Construction or Project or Engineering Lawyer at an awesome award-winning global construction company responsible for some of the world's most recognisable buildings. Work on incredible projects in a friendly legal team, reporting to an excellent GC. Up to $268K including super.

THE COMPANY

A global construction firm specialising in maritime, environmental infrastructure, sports, leisure, and general infrastructure, operating in 22 countries with 10,000+ employees and a strong presence in Australia.

THE ROLE

Enforce safety policies to maintain a safe workplace.

Advise on contract interpretation and administration.

Identify contractual/legal risks and guide risk management.

Update the business on legislative requirements.

Participate in tenders, contracts, and dispute negotiations.

Report on legal risks related to tenders.

Help update and develop templates.

Support management of legal disputes and payment/security issues.

Develop and deliver training.

Coordinate external legal counsel.

Respond to general legal enquiries, including marketing, IT, and WHS.

ABOUT YOU

Australian qualified lawyer with 6+ years' experience in Construction or Project or Engineering, ideally with front-end expertise.

Skilled in contract interpretation, administration, and dispute management.

Able to work independently, make sound decisions, and adapt in fast-paced settings.

Familiar with relevant legislation; experienced in delivering results in a professional manner.

Ability to communicate and build relationships at various organisational levels.

Work independently using initiative, reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.

Ability to deliver outcomes and manage priorities

Consistently demonstrates professionalism, maturity, and transparency in work practices.

Ability to apply logical thinking to diverse intellectual and practical problems.
