They are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to provide steady financial stewardship, drive process improvements, and ensure business continuity during a period of transition.
The Opportunity Reporting to the General Manager and leading a small finance team, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial and commercial operations for the Victorian division, including management of a significant property portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a focus on both day-to-day financial operations and forward-looking improvements to systems, processes, and controls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory compliance
- Managing payroll, reconciliations, and audit processes
- Providing financial insights to support decision-making across the business
- Overseeing the property and investment portfolio
- Driving efficiencies in financial systems and reporting through ERP optimisation
- Leading and mentoring two finance staff and partnering with cross-functional teams
About You You are a CPA or CA-qualified finance professional with demonstrated leadership in complex or multi-faceted environments, preferably with a property focus. You bring both strong technical acumen and a commercial mindset, along with a collaborative approach to team and stakeholder engagement.
You will have:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar leadership role
- Strong ERP systems experience, with a track record of identifying and delivering process improvements
- Excellent financial planning, analysis, compliance, and reporting skills
- Ability to guide and mentor a small team while working closely with senior leadership
- High attention to detail, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to the management of a significant property portfolio (highly regarded)
