Based in Lae and reporting to the Group Operations Manager in Port Moresby and as the Senior CAPEX Engineering Project Manager at Paradise Foods you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the budgeted spend of major capital projects as part of a strategic upgrade leading a small well experienced and qualified Engineering Managers and Technicians to drive the process engineering agenda, and driving continuous improvement primarily as lead across all business groups and multi sites.. This position is essential in ensuring optimum machine effectiveness and availability for OEE measurements and the production of our industry-leading products and the project management of new production equipment installations.

What you'll be doing

Manage and optimize the Engineering and Project Management activities and technical processes and equipment within the manufacturing plants to maximize productivity and quality

participate in strategic planning exercises

Oversee the implementation of new technologies, systems and equipment and process map procedures to enhance manufacturing capabilities

Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to production

Collaborate with/train and support cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions

Foster a culture of continuous learning to build internal talent

Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing team

Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement

Managing budgets to deliver results on time in full to spec.

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

Act on internal customer feedback and build strong partnerships with suppliers and regulatory bodies

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering/mechanical/electrical/chemical/Production Engineering/Project Management specific to the role, THIS IS MANDATORY - please do not apply if you do not have this experience your resume will not proceed

Extensive experience (5+ years) in a technical management role in within a large-scale multi-site manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies related to Engineering Project Management

Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and implementing innovative solutions

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of technical professionals

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
