We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Cyber Security Advisor to join the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Department of Treasury and Finance for an ongoing period.
Remuneration: ASO6 - Salary Range $98,478 p.a. - $104,165 p.a.
About the opportunity:
The Senior Cyber Security Advisor is responsible for the provision of specialist advice and expertise to management of the branch and department. The Senior Cyber Security Advisor will provide cyber security risk and assurance, governance and advisory functions within the Cyber Security team and support the secure delivery of whole of government ICT systems and services.
About you:
To be successful you will:
Maintain a current understanding of emerging security threats by monitoring a range of industry information sources and networks and integrating available threat feeds into the security management environment.
Contribute to the Cyber Security for the Office of the Chief Information Officer through the provision of technical and policy advice.
Continually improve the level of general awareness and knowledge of Cyber security, change control and access-control matters by contributing to training courses and providing advice to committees, meetings, managers and individual staff, as required.
Design, document, and implement cyber security processes, procedures, guidelines, and solutions.
Review technical solution designs, conduct Security Risk Assessment, participate in Whole of Government Architecture Review Group (ARG) and support projects from a cyber perspective.
Ensure effective relationships with clients and stakeholders are maintained.
Liaise with other State Government agencies, suppliers, State Government emergency management organisations and the Commonwealth Government to achieve assigned program outcomes.
Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment, free from discrimination and harassment by working in accordance with legislative requirements, the Code of Ethics and departmental human resource policies including the OHS&W requirements.
