The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) was established by the ICAC Act 2012 and serves the state of South Australia’s public interest by promoting integrity in public administration through the investigation of corruption and proactive prevention and educational initiatives. The Commission is independent and not subject to the direction of any person or entity in exercising its powers and carrying out its functions.

Your new role

Your role will be to deliver expert support, ensuring strategic oversight, risk management, and optimal ICT system performance and maintenance. Working in collaboration with the Senior Technical Specialist, your role is also central to delivering high-impact projects, including cloud platform environments, infrastructure upgrades, and the rollout of key systems.

Your ability to build strong relationships (internally and externally) and actively monitor and manage ICT support providers’ contract arrangements will help lead to your success. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to leading ICT strategy and execution, assessing project risks, ensuring system security, advising on the desktop and infrastructure environment and the implementation of software updates, documenting technical requirements, and supporting ICT budget development.

What you’ll need to succeed

Strong technical and management background in ICT systems and environments with significant experience in operations, support and infrastructure.

Advanced understanding of technical business processes, technology implementation, controls and related standards and risk management.

Expertise in virtualisation, security infrastructure, LAN/WAN, Microsoft platforms and storage/backup/restore.

Expert knowledge of core networking functions and topology such as switching, routing, firewalls, fibre and copper-based connections.

Strong understanding of cyber security practices and requirements to support and enhance the Commission’s cyber resilience strategy

High-level interpersonal skills, including demonstrated success in building and maintaining professional relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

Ability to clearly and concisely transfer technical and business knowledge

Self-motivated, and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Special conditions

To be eligible, candidates must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance

Salary

ASO8 - $121,107 - $125,679 per annum (plus superannuation)
