About the role

Join the dynamic team at Morris Homes as a full-time Accounts Officer based in Riverstone, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing critical accounting support to ensure the smooth operation of the business.

What you'll be doing

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions using set process & procedure guidelines within our automated construction software

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts within Xero

Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements

Cost track & manage financial targets for individual projects

Support the month-end close process

Liaise with internal stakeholders to address accounting-related inquiries

Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting procedures and controls

What we're looking for

An experienced accounts officer who has at least 3 years of experience working in the residential construction industry

Relevant accounting or finance diploma/degree

Proficient in the use of Xero accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
