Your New Company/Role:

A well established client within the construction industry is looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join their growing team. This is a permanent full-time position based in Artarmon 2064, NSW. This is a junior role for someone who is looking to establish their career within the accounting domain. The main requirement for this role is the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen.

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

Reporting to a nurturing Finance Manager; you are responsible for

• Processing of invoices
• Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
• Performing reconciliations
• Assist with audit preparation by compiling and organising financial documents
• Support the finance team with data entry and general administrative tasks
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is for someone who has experience within a similar role as an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Officer. You will also bring:

• Diploma or Bachelors in Accounting & Finance/equivalent qualification or equivalent work experience
• Exposure to large ERP systems - M3 would be advantageous but not essential
• Prior experience within construction industry is highly desirable
• Prior experience in a similar role ( 1-3 years or more )
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Intermediate Excel proficiency
• A proactive, self-motivated approach to project work and continuous improvement
• The candidate must be an Australian citizen
