About the Position

The Leisure and Lifestyle Officer is responsible for delivery of the Leisure and Lifestyle program in the home. You will be part of Leisure and Lifestyle team.

As the Leisure and Lifestyle Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities. You will be involved in planning, organising and implementing these activities both as a team member and individually depending on the activity.

This is initially a casual position however there is the option to go PPT after completion of your probationary period.

What we are looking for

The successful applicant will enjoy working in a team and must love interacting with older people.

We are looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm.

Able to work Monday to Friday. (would be open to job sharing however ideally 1 person to fill all 5 days)

Great written and verbal communication skills.

Good Computer skills.

The ability to plan activities and run them both individually and as a team.

A relevant qualification or currently studying.
Previous experience in an aged care setting is essential.

Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and legislative requirements
