Job Opportunity: As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Internal Sales Executive – Major Accounts to join our team. Whether you're established in your career looking to upskill or a seasoned professional seeking a change of industry, we are keen to hear from you.

About the role:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the focus of this is building strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers, and following carefully defined processes to procure and sell a diverse range of industrial and safety products.

The work is very precise in nature and requires strong attention to detail, making sure all the “I”s are dotted and the “T”s crossed. There are clear expectations and standards to be met, and established procedures and processes to be followed. While there is some pressure in our fast-moving industry, much of the work can be accomplished by working at a steady, even pace. The work often follows the same pattern and routine from one day to the next, allowing large blocks of work to be planned well ahead.

Interacting with customers forms a large part of the daily work, and such interactions are expected to be conducted in a professional and somewhat formal manner while remaining friendly, pleasant, and helpful.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of key major customer accounts.

Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers.

Negotiate supplier pricing and secure the best outcomes.

Procure a diverse range of material items from the Industrial / Safety markets.

Prepare job quotes and efficiently process sales orders.

Apply technical and analytical skills within established systems.

Support end-to-end supply chain requirements when needed.

Providing excellent customer service at all times.

Efficiently manage multiple tasks and activities across various customers simultaneously, demonstrating excellent multitasking abilities.

About you:

You probably describe yourself as someone who likes to achieve things consistently, efficiently, and thoroughly, leaving nothing to chance. You enjoy detail, skill-based work, and are quick to respond when others need help.

You’re cooperative and supportive and thrive when you have a clear understanding of the rules and policies, and when your work environment is conflict-free and encouraging.

Your colleagues would no doubt describe you as stable, willing to help, accommodating, and with a great track record of success. You always like work to be done correctly and to a very high standard. And you take pride in ensuring your work is well presented and highly polished.

While somewhat reserved in nature, you enjoy being of service and help to others in a quiet and thoughtful kind of way, going to some length to enthusiastically share your detailed knowledge of the products you sell or represent with customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

Legal right to live and work in Australia.

Proficiency in English communication.

Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Proficient in Excel to at least an intermediate level.

Consistency, accuracy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Ability to work to deadlines and a desire to complete tasks thoroughly.

Collaborative and helpful nature, with professional and patient communication skills.

A strong desire to promote positive changes to workflow processes.

Industry knowledge is a plus, but not essential.
