Our client is a global market leading manufacturer and supplier of various components, power units and systems to cater for the mining and industrial sectors.

Due to growth we're on the hunt for a highly driven Technical Sales & Customer Support Specialist to join their team. Within this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate technical information and answering product and service questions in a timely manner. This role is fundamental in providing excellent customer support and internal sales while effectively and efficiently processing customer orders and supporting our internal and external sales team.

About the role:

• Support external sales staff by providing product selection, quotations and communication with customers on the representative's behalf.
• Providing support to all customers by maintaining accurate records of new and existing RFQs, tenders, and purchase orders, received via phone and email.
• Entering sales, purchase order information and customer communication records into ERP system/s.
• Monitor and maintain customer accounts by recording account information.
• Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's queries and provide best solution to solve the problem.
• Manage and monitor in and outbound non-conformance and remedial action plans
• Be a point of contact for customer inquiries, stock availability, order status, and technical support.
• Liaise with suppliers for pricing, delivery, technical and be responsible for ad-hoc purchasing of same
• Report sales leads to sales team
• Deliver exceptional customer service and troubleshooting assistance.
• Ensure the retention of profitable customers through providing added value to their customer care experience.
• Report on internal sales activity when required

• Experience in customer sales and care contact by phone or face to face
• Demonstrated high level time management and organisational skills.
• Strong computer skills including use of CRM and Microsoft
• Ability to work autonomously
• A current driver's licence
