About the role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Claims consultant to join our growing insurance team.

Business Insurance Group (BIG) has been operating since 1999 and prides itself on high quality customer services and effective claims handling processes.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the processing and management of claims, including data entry, documentation, and correspondence with customers and internal stakeholders

Have a broad & technical approach to handling of all claims across all classes of general insurance

Ability to analyse initial causation efficiently and professionally to provide & plans out an effective claims response

Responding to customer enquiries about the claims process in a timely and professional manner

Liaising with internal teams and external partners to facilitate the smooth progression of claims

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the claims management system

Providing administrative support, such as filing, archiving, and reporting, as required

Contributing to the continuous improvement of claims processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Previous experience in an insurance claims role or a background in insurance broking

High level verbal and written articulation across all communication streams

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with data

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and stakeholders

Proficient in using relevant software and IT systems

A team player with the ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced environment
