Salary: $75K-$85K + Super + Extra Benefits
Due to internal movements, a Duty Manager (2IC) position has become available in Queanbeyan.
The position
Working in a renovated establishment that continues to grow, you will:
- Support the Venue Manager in creating a fun and family-friendly environment
- Oversee and manage the bar and bistro area
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers
- Lead by example and train staff to uphold service levels in all areas of the hotel
- Book, coordinate and manage onsite events
- Work with staff to maintain a clean and presentable bar, bistro, beer garden and gaming area
- Manage promotions and weekly specials with the bistro team
- Assist the Venue Manager in managing operating costs, rosters and inventory
- Manage the opening and closing of the venue
- Identify best practices and recommend improvements that enhance service and productivity across all areas of the hotel
- Onboard and train new staff members (SOP- standard operating procedures provided)
- Handle and resolve all customer issues
To be successful for the position, you will have:
- Experience managing and supervising bar and bistro staff
- Hold a current RSA and RCG (Advanced RCG will be highly regarded)
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to open and close bar, bistro and gaming areas
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in a busy pub or hotel environment
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
Working conditions/hours:
- Permanent full-time position + Extra benefits and Pay
- The Hotel operates 7 days a week
- 5-day week with rostered days off
