The Loxton Health Centre is a busy General Practice in Loxton, South Australia. We service a rural area that is based in the Riverland. Our Practice has Full time and Part time General Practitioners as well as Allied Health Services and also accommodates visiting specialists. The Loxton Health Centre is seeking a receptionist to work 7 weekdays rostered over a fortnight period. Flexible hours may be available.

Qualifications & experience

Experience in medical reception/administration an advantage but not essential

Excellent time management & organisational skills

Reliability and a strong work ethic

Ability to maintain a strict level of patient confidentiality

Ability to work both autonomously and with others as part of a team

Ability to multitask under pressure and maintain attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal communication skills and a warm and inviting phone manner

First Aid certificate an advantage

Working with children an advantage

Police check essential

Tasks & responsibilities

Meet and greet patients

Scheduling and attending to appointments for multiple doctors

General reception duties

Creating and maintaining patient records

Mail, Billing, Filing, Scanning

Supporting doctors and nurses

Attending to visiting Specialists and Allied health consultants

Manage a busy surgery diary (Zedmed Cloud software)

Window (or similar) programme eg, Outlook, Word, Excel
