About the opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regulatory Compliance Officer Team Leader to join the Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR). In this vital leadership role, you will be responsible for managing an effective and efficient Electrical Compliance Regulatory function, ensuring legislative compliance and operational excellence in electrical safety across South Australia.
You will lead a small team of Regulatory Compliance Officers and oversee the administration of electrical installation and product safety functions, playing a key role in upholding compliance standards and ensuring data integrity across systems and processes.

About You:
You will bring a proactive leadership approach, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for regulatory compliance. To succeed in this role, you will have:
Senior-level experience in a regulatory compliance environment.
The ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and oversee staff development.
Strong analytical and investigative skills with sound judgement and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to consult, negotiate, and manage conflict diplomatically.
Solid experience providing high-level administrative support, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems, report writing, minute-taking, and document preparation.

Key Selection Criteria:

Ability to monitor and manage own work output and supervise staff to ensure consistency and maximum efficiency.
Demonstrated ability to analyse, investigate and identify problems and issues and exercise initiative and sound judgement in implementing decisions, solutions and actions.
Senior-level regulatory compliance experience with a strong background in regulatory environments, including a solid understanding of compliance and enforcement principles and the ability to interpret legislation such as the Electricity Act 1996, the Electricity (General) Regulations, and relevant policies.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products and database products; sound word processing and spreadsheet software skills, proficient in extracting data, generating reports and records management.
Remuneration:
ASO4 salary range $76,561 - $80,256 per annum + superannuation
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
