Position Overview
We’re seeking a Property Management & Disability Support Lead to oversee our housing portfolio and champion an exceptional tenant experience. This role bridges traditional property management with specialised supports for people living with disabilities. You will:
Build strong tenant relationships, ensuring open communication and prompt issue resolution
Coordinate accessibility upgrades and ensure each home meets tenant‑specific needs and regulatory standards
Collaborate with community partners, support providers and networks to deliver wrap‑around services
Drive continuous improvement: identify opportunities to enhance our housing model and customer experience
Manage properties end‑to‑end: leasing, maintenance, compliance etc
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Collaboration: Forge and maintain relationships with support coordinators, SIL providers, government agencies and neighbouring community groups
Property Operations: Oversee day‑to‑day management of SDA and community housing properties, including inspections and repairs
Tenant Engagement: Serve as primary point of contact for tenants; facilitate tenant meetings, feedback sessions and support planning
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure properties comply with regulations.
Accessibility & Customisation: Assess and coordinate reasonable modifications—ramps, sensory aids, assistive equipment—and manage related budgets
Your Experience & Skills
Demonstrated understanding of housing for people with disabilities (SDA, SIL or equivalent)
Minimum 3–5 years in residential property management, community housing or senior support‑worker roles
Knowledge of housing regulations, building codes and NDIS compliance requirements
Problem‑solving skills, with a collaborative, “can‑do” mindset
Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, tailored to diverse audiences
Ability to prioritise competing demands and manage a flexible workload
Desireable
Experience with property management software
Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, including the Residential Tenancies Act or the NDIS Quality and Safety Commission requirements
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think both laterally and strategically.
Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
Proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
Proficiency with information technology, including databases and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Successful candidates will be required to pass probity checks, including a NDIS Worker check.
