  • Communicating with academic staff and supporting them in addressing student inquiries.

Who we are looking for:

  1. Proven ability to guide others on procedures and ensure compliance with policies while delivering client-focused service to diverse individuals.
  2. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a clear and professional approach to sharing information.
  3. Effective in organising tasks according to priorities, multitasking to meet deadlines, and solving non-standard problems both independently and collaboratively.
  4. Experienced in using various computer software, including databases, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Desirable

  • Demonstrated understanding of the academic environment and the student experience within a higher educational institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Blackboard (Learning Management System) and corporate student information systems (e.g. Student One).

If your qualifications or experience look different from what we've described, but you feel your skills and potential are a match to the capabilities we need, please apply. We are looking for diversity in experience, thought, and approach.

Role Requirements:

  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
  • Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
  • This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours to accommodate semester and academic requirements.
  • In line with Curtin’s 2030 Strategic Plan, Curtin University is committed to optimising employment outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. Curtin University considers that being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).
