About Us
Smart Start Financial Services is a dynamic and forward-thinking financial planning practice located in Glenorie, in Sydney’s northwest. A second office is planned for Toowoomba within the next 12 to 18 months, and the successful candidate can be based at either location. We also operate a second financial planning business, and while you will be employed under Smart Start Financial Services, you will be required to work across both practices. We are a small yet growing business that values strategic, personalised financial advice and are committed to the development and success of our team members.

Responsibilities
Implement advice recommendations for new clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Manage client applications, including:
Insurance applications
Superfund establishment and rollovers
Investment accounts
Self-managed super funds
Various other areas
Collaborate with product providers as necessary, escalating issues when required.
Maintain accurate client records and files to meet compliance standards
Cultivate strong client relationships through proactive communication and service
Follow up with advisers/paraplanners and clients on outstanding items and action points
Support other team members with administrative tasks and document review to contribute to process improvements
Provide suggestions for enhancing efficiency and service quality
Professionally handle client inquiries to maintain our strong relationships and high-quality service
Liaise with new clients to gather necessary information and documentation
Assist advisers by scheduling meetings and preparing relevant reports
Required Skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent computer and technology literacy
Good time management skills and organisation
Ability to work unsupervised and solve problems independently
Enthusiastic and positive personality
Ability to form trusted relationships with clients, network, and external stakeholders
Advantageous Skills
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with the implementation of financial advice
Experience using relevant financial planning software (Xplan, Intelliflo) and the ability to quickly learn new software
Advanced technical knowledge of financial planning
Comprehensive understanding of the compliance and regulatory framework
Knowledge and experience in financial planning processes and industry practices
