Job purpose

We are seeking a Field Implementation and Business Development Lead to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in the field with cutting-edge technologies while contributing to the strategic growth of an advanced robotics company. This is a dual role focused on field deployment and customer-facing development of new commercial opportunities.

The position requires regular travel to mine sites and client operations, to be based in Brisbane.

Duties and responsibilities

Field Implementation

Lead and execute on-site deployment of autonomous robotic platforms, including commissioning and handover.

Support safe integration into customer operations, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and risk controls

Deliver technical training for customer and site personnel on system operation and safety.

Provide ongoing field service support including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting (testing, diagnostics, and fault-finding), and upgrade execution.

Maintain detailed field reports, service logs, and documentation for internal and client use.

Maintain and manage toolkits, spares, diagnostic equipment, and site-readiness logistics.

Business Development

Develop or have trusted relationships with decision makers.

Secure and support pilot-to-commercial scale-up engagements with new and existing customers.

Represent Jevons Robotics during customer trials, field demonstrations, and commercial assessments.

Develop detailed implementation plans aligned with client KPIs and operational needs.

Identify and help secure growth opportunities within new and adjacent markets.

Work collaboratively with Customer, Engineering, Commercial teams to relay field insights into future features and system improvements.

Required Skills

You may not have all of the below, so we are looking for people to join the team that can demonstrate a strength in one or more areas and are willing to learn the rest.

· Trade qualification or engineering degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Mining or related field.

· 5+ years of hands-on field experience with mine site systems, mining equipment, robotics, or industrial automation.

· Strong understanding of mobile equipment systems, including electrics, hydraulics, and control software (including CAN-bus diagnostics.

· Experience working on remote sites (mine or otherwise)

· Ability to read and interpret system documentation (schematics / wiring diagrams)

· Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field with limited supervision.

· Excellent communication and customer engagement skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.

· Current Australian Driver’s License and the ability to pass site access medicals and inductions.

· Experience with industrial equipment or vehicles, especially autonomous or semi-autonomous systems.

· Previous exposure to mining, defence, tunnelling, or construction sectors is a plus.
