Barnardos Australia is seeking a dedicated Program Manager to join our Kinship Care team in Wyong, 2259. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to be part of a values-led organisation committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and families.

About the Role
As a Program Manager, you will:

  • Support a team of Case Managers to ensure ongoing supervision, professional development and practice improvement.
  • Establish frameworks, including practice systems, which ensure excellence in service delivery to children, young people and their families. Practice is founded on the principles of evidence informed practice, safety and wellbeing and of the highest quality service provision.
  • Build a strong practice culture, informed by relevant research, evidence and data. This will support and sustain consistent practice delivery and improve outcomes for children and young people in OOHC.
  • Develop and maintain networks and relationships with key stakeholders to deliver appropriate services – internal and external.

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services that uphold child safety, cultural safety, and family-led practice.

Skills and Experience :

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in community or human services or other comparable qualifications and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a child protection/family support and/or OOHC context.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and leading teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and training individuals who are working with families experiencing high levels of risk and complexity.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of current legislation and practices in NSW child protection and Out of Home Care.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of policy development and key principles to support successful translation to practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities, including a strong understanding of cultural safety, self-determination, and the historical and contemporary factors that impact Aboriginal peoples.

What’s on Offer:
- Base salary: $112,175 – $121,583 per annum (pro rata, if applicable) + 12% superannuation
- Salary packaging: Up to $15,860 tax-free (general living expenses)
- Meal & entertainment packaging: Additional $2,650 tax-free per FBT year
