About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Program Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team, including team leaders and administrative staff. While the role includes oversight of Permanency Support Programs (PSP), it also plays a broader role in delivering early intervention, family support, and community-based services.
This position is open to experienced leaders from a range of sectors—including NDIS, housing, residential care, domestic and family violence, and other social care services—who have a strong background in managing teams, programs, and service delivery within complex environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading strategic planning, program delivery, and evaluation
Managing team performance, staff supervision, and professional development
Overseeing compliance, reporting, and accreditation standards
Managing operational budgets and resource planning
Building strong partnerships with stakeholders, funding bodies, and community organisations
Supporting innovation, continuous improvement, and service growth
Advocating for positive outcomes for Aboriginal children, young people, and families
Key Requirements
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background (this is an identified role under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 NSW)
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field
Demonstrated leadership experience within community or social services
Strong operational, program management, and budgeting experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Knowledge of relevant legislation, child protection practices, and Aboriginal cultural protocols
Current NSW Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and Driver’s Licence
Benefits
Competitive salary: $135,000 – $140,000 + Super + Salary Packaging
Hybrid work environment with flexibility
35-hour work week, Monday to Friday
